Abstract

ABSTRAK

Stunting merupakan permasalahan kesehatan atau gangguan pertumbuhan pada anak. Penyebab utama dari stunting adalah kurangnya asupan nutrisi selama masa pertumbuhan anak. Selain itu, buruknya fasilitas sanitasi, minimnya akses air bersih, dan kurangnya kebersihan lingkungan juga menjadi penyebab stunting. Stunting di kabupaten Kendal masih cukup tinggi, prevalensi balita stunting tertinggi yaitu 13,35 (7.892  balita) di  tahun  2022, angka tersebut mengalami peningkatan dari tahun 2021. Oleh sebab itu Mahasiswa KKN 31 Unwahas pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk membantu mengurangi dan mencegah stunting dengan sosialisasi mengenai cara mencegah stunting dan pentingnya menjaga gizi seimbang selama masa kehamilan, menyusui, dan tumbuh kembang anak serta melakukan demo masak guna meminimalisir meningkatnya angka stunting di Kabupaten Kendal Limbangan 5 desa Peron, kegiatan penyuluhan stunting dilaksanakan di 2 Dusun yaitu Dusun Nampu dan Krajan. Tahapan yang dilakukan mulai dari observasi, sosialisasi stunting, demonstrasi dan pembagian makanan dan evaluasi, dilakukan pula pembagian pamphlet materi mengenai stunting. Menu makanan yang didemonstrasikan dalam sosialisasi ini yaitu Tahu sarung burung dan sop Telur puyu.

ABSTRACT

Stunting is a health problem or growth disorder in children. The main cause of stunting is a lack of nutritional intake during a child's growth period. Apart from that, poor sanitation facilities, lack of access to clean water, and lack of environmental cleanliness are also causes of stunting. Stunting in Kendal district is still quite high, the highest prevalence of stunted toddlers is 13.35 (7,892 toddlers) in 2022, this figure has increased from 2021. Therefore, Unwahas Community Service KKN 31 students aim to help reduce and prevent stunting through outreach. regarding how to prevent stunting and the importance of maintaining balanced nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding and child growth and development as well as conducting cooking demonstrations to minimize the increase in stunting rates in Kendal Limbangan Regency 5 Peron villages, stunting education activities were carried out in 2 hamlets, namely Nampu and Krajan hamlets. The stages carried out started from observation, socialization about stunting, demonstrations and distribution of food and evaluation, and distribution of material pamphlets regarding stunting. The food menu demonstrated in this socialization was bird's sarong tofu and puyu egg soup.
